Pulisic leaves Chelsea and joins Milan

The 24-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2019 having agreed to join the Blues from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the year. He made an early impact with an assist in the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool beforeannouncing himself on the Premier League stage against Burnley.

Pulisic produced key moments during the run-in of Chelsea’s momentous 2020/21 season. He scored in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid and created a goal for Mason Mount in the second leg. They were vital steps en route to Chelsea success in Porto.


The UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup were won in Pulisic’s third season, and he also broke the record for the most Champions League goals scored by an American. The highlight of his final campaign came on the international stage as he guided the USMNT to the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup.

During his time at Chelsea, Pulisic played 145 games and scored 26 goals. He leaves with three winners’ medals.

This week, AC Milan reached a full agreement with Chelsea to sign Pulisic on a 4-years deal. Chelsea will receive a package worth £19m and add-ons from AC Milan, contract until June 2027.

Medicals and contract signings will soon follow up in the coming days.

“AC Milan is happy to announce the signing of Christian Mate Pulisic from Chelsea FC. The American winger has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2027, with an option to extend his stay until 30 June 2028,” Milan said in a statement.
